Reiki and Transitions
Compassionate Energy in Change
Transitions are thresholds — moments where something ends, something begins, and we stand between the two. These spaces often carry both grief and possibility. Reiki offers gentle steadiness here, helping us soften into what is leaving and open to what is arriving.
🌬️ The Concept
Change can feel uncertain or disorienting. Reiki reminds us that energy never stops moving — endings create openings, and beginnings grow from release. With Reiki, transitions shift from fear to trust in the natural flow.
✋ The Practice
Hand Placement: One hand on the heart, one on the belly — anchoring feeling and grounding. Breath Ritual:
Inhale: “I welcome the new.”
Exhale: “I release the old.” Threshold Flow: Visualize Reiki as a doorway of light, guiding you safely from one state to the next.
🎶 Reflection & Mantra
A chant for transitions:
I release, I welcome, I flow, Through change, compassion helps me grow. I stand, I soften, I restore.
🌸 Everyday Integration
Use Reiki during moves, job changes, role shifts, or major life transitions.
Repeat the mantra during endings — farewells, closures, completions — to soften grief.
Remember: Reiki doesn’t erase change. It steadies you within it.
Why it Matters
Transitions ask the body to reorganize itself. They stir old patterns, awaken grief, and open new pathways. Reiki helps the nervous system soften so the heart can stay present through the shift.
A Moment of Practice
Before a difficult goodbye, place your hand on your heart and breathe the mantra. Notice how your body loosens its grip on the moment. Reiki doesn’t remove the ache — it gives you a way to stay with yourself inside it. Reiki meets you at the threshold — not to push you forward, but to walk with you as you cross.
Transitions ask us to stand in places where the heart hasn’t caught up yet — where we’re still grieving what was, even as something new begins to glow at the edges.” Sometimes change feels like standing barefoot on a cold floor, unsure of the next step. Reiki warms the ground beneath you, Most thresholds don’t feel like beginnings at first. They feel like loss. Reiki helps us stay soft enough to notice the opening,
