Reiki and the Risk of New Age Additions:

Usui taught us to be vessels for Reiki energy, not directors of it. Yet I see practices creeping in—like spinning chakras with pendulums or boasting about “healing crises.” These rely on human will, not Reiki’s wisdom.

Reiki never harms. If resistance is met, Reiki simply ceases. To impose our will is to invite ego, and ego can create imbalance. True Reiki flows in safety, humility, and trust.

Let’s return to Usui’s teaching: surrender, allow, and trust the energy. Reiki does not need embellishment. Its power lies in simplicity. 🌿
